Spring for the remote trigger

We recommend replacing the throttle spring every 6 months. after salt water use using lanolin spray or Corrosion X on trigger can help prolong its life.

Note: All Boogies shipped since 1 February include a spare spring in the orange repair kit.

Includes 1 x Spring, and 1 x M3 screw to help remove the trigger shaft.

How to replace the Trigger Spring:

  1. Remove the trigger screw

    • Use a 2mm Allen key to remove the small screw that holds the trigger in place.

    • A high-quality Allen key is recommended to prevent rounding the hex socket.

  2. Extract the trigger shaft

    • Use the supplied M3 screw, tweezers, or a similar tool to carefully pull the trigger shaft out of the remote.

    • Caution: If the spring hasn’t broken yet, it may pop out suddenly—cover the trigger with your hand to catch it.

  3. Inspect the shaft end

    • Check the end of the shaft to ensure the resin is flat.

    • The resin encapsulates a magnet and can swell over time, causing the trigger to stick.

    • If the resin is bulging, sand it flat.

    • If you see corrosion, contact support.

  4. Install the new spring

    • Place the new spring into the trigger.

    • Push the trigger and spring back into the remote, aligning the holes.

    • Insert the throttle shaft.

  5. Reinstall the screw

    • Fit the M2 screw back in place with a drop of blue Loctite (not red).

  6. Recalibrate the trigger

    • Perform a trigger calibration after replacement to ensure correct operation.
